2010-2011 Competitive Season AGM Meeting

Please note change in location and time! The Annual General Meeting has been moved to Ray Friel Centre, 1585 Tenth Line Rd on September 9, 2010 at 7:30pm. Attendance at the AGM is mandatory for all competitive swimmers and parents. Merchandise will be available between 7:00pm -7:30 and immediately following the AGM.

Conditionning Camp 2010-2011 Season

Competitive Condition Camp
This competitive conditioning camp is open to all swimmers- Provincial and National Stream. Swimmers will work on building conditioning while improving strokes. Fundamental synchro techniques and endurance will be reviewed.

Where: Bearbrook Pool (outdoor) 2679 Innes Rd.
When: August 14th, 7:30 to 9:00 am
August 21st, 7.30 to 9:00 am
August 28th, 7.30 to 9:00 am

Where: BMRC Pool
When: August 15th, 4:00 to 5:30 pm
August 22nd, 4:00 to 5:30pm
Cost: $25 per session or $20 per session for 3 or more

Introduction to Competitive Synchro
This competitive conditioning camp is developed for athletes that are new to competitive synchro or are thinking that they may like to try competitive this year.

Where: BMRC Pool
When: August 15th, 5:30 to 6:30 pm
August 22nd, 5:30 to 6:30 pm

Cost: $15 per session.

Gloucester Synchro Recreational Programs 2010-2011

Gloucester Synchro offers a full-season recreational program from the beginning of October (16th to 18th) to April 30th, as well as 8 week Intro to Synchro programs. Registration for 2010 Summer Camps

Gloucester Synchro is pleased to offer full day and half day summer camps at both BMRC and Sawmill Creek Pools. The Half-Day Camp is for new and recreational synchro swimmers aged 5-7 years who are comfortable in shallow water. The Full-Day Camp is for new and experienced synchro swimmers aged 12 and under who are comfortable in deep water. Registration material can be downloaded from the website. Gloucester Synchro Wins Ribbons at Trillium Championships

Over 170 swimmers aged 12 & Under from Synchronized Swimming Clubs from all over Ontario participated in the 2010 12 & Under Open Trillium Provincial Championships in Newmarket, Ontario on June 12th and 13th. A 5th place ribbon was awarded to the 10 & Under team. Click here for more info.

Gloucester Synchro Earns Multiple Ribbons at the 2010 Canadian Espoir Synchronized Swimming Championships

Gloucester Synchro returned home from the 2010 Canadian Espoir Competition with multiple ribbons, as well as many personal bests. Over 500 Tier 6 synchronized swimmers and their coaches from across Canada gathered to compete in Montreal June 2 – 6, 2010. Gloucester Synchro's Tier 6 16& Over Team finished 5th, while Luba Chabursky finished 6th in the
Tier 6 16 & Over Solo event. Click here for results.

Gloucester Synchro Wins Silver and Bronze Medals at the 2010 OOAGSSC

Gloucester Synchro’s Provincial Teams have just returned from the Ontario Open Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships in Etobicoke, Ontario. Over 450 swimmers from Synchronized Swimming Clubs participated May 27th – 30th, 2010 in this provincial championship. Gloucester Synchro athletes won awards in team, solo and figure competitions and achieved many personal bests. A silver medal was awarded the age 13 group team; the age 16-20 group team took home the bronze. Click here for full results.

Gloucester Synchro wins 1st and 4th Place at Variety Village Invitational

Gloucester Synchro’s Provincial Team 2 has returned from the Variety Village Invitational Meet. The event took place Sunday May 2nd in the Toronto area. Congratulations to the coaches and swimmers.

1st Place: 13 Year Old Average Age Team coached by Caroline Demers and Meghan Weber. Swimmers are: Leena Barisa, Chloe Cook, Allison Courtney, Alyx Denison, Sarah Healy, Kaitlyn Hoey, Kendra Hoey and Kiera Hughes.

4th Place: 13 – 15 Solo Allison Courtney coached by Katie Cornish.

Gloucester Synchro Earns Silver Medals and Multiple Ribbons
at Canadian Eastern Divisional Championships

Gloucester Synchro returned home from the 2010 Canadian Eastern Divisional Competition with silver medals, multiple ribbons, as well as many personal bests. Over 370 synchronized swimmers and their coaches from the Eastern & Atlantic Provinces gathered in Quebec City March 10–14, 2010 to compete in the qualifying meet for the Canadian Open and the Canadian Espoir National Championships. Gloucester Synchro Wins Gold and Bronze Medals at Provincials

Gloucester Synchro Wins 1ST, 2ND, 3RD and 4th Place

Gloucester Synchro’s Tier 6 & 7 swimmers and coaches were very successful at the 2010 Ontario Provincial Trials Competition. Over two hundred Tier 6 & 7 swimmers from Ontario took part in the two-day event January 23 & 24, 2010 held at the Nepean Sportsplex in Ottawa. Gloucester Synchro - Strongest Overall Club in Ontario

Gloucester Synchro Club awarded prestigious "Club Aggregate Award for 2009" at the 2009 Ontario Provincial Tier Championships held May 21-24, 2009.
